Stefan Bajcetic makes his return home. The midfielder, a key figure in Celta Fortuna's summer transfer market, leaves Liverpool FC after terminating his remaining one-year contract. He signs for the Galicians for three seasons, until June 2029.

A return to his roots for the young international

At 22, Bajcetic is about to celebrate his birthday in October. The Vigués, who came through the club's youth ranks, is returning to a dressing room he knows inside out. Having signed for Liverpool at just 16, he climbed the ranks before establishing himself in the Premier League, where he made 22 official appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal. His loan spells at Salzburg (19 matches) and UD Las Palmas (14 matches, one goal) marked his journey before an injury kept him off the pitch for sixteen months. The player has just received his medical clearance.

A bet on a revival in Segunda

Celta is banking on Bajcetic to breathe new life into its team in the Segunda División. The club is relying on his experience, gained in the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga, to strengthen an ambitious squad aiming for a quick return to the top flight. The young midfielder, who has already played at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid three years ago, could well be the surprise package of the season. Celta, which has already included several players from Celta Fortuna in its first team, is counting on its new signing to energize a sporting project in full reconstruction. The club has also taken the opportunity to remind fans of the conditions for attending the B-team's matches, while the new pitch at Balaídos will be inaugurated by the reserve team.

A career marked by challenges and comebacks

Bajcetic embodies the typical journey of a young prodigy facing the realities of modern football. His return to Celta, the club that saw him grow, is seen as an opportunity to relaunch his career after a difficult period. The midfielder, who has already worn the Spain shirt at international level, is looking to rediscover his best form to one day return to the Premier League or elsewhere in Europe. Celta, for its part, is banking on this profile to structure its midfield and bring stability to a team in search of consistency. With a revamped squad and clear ambitions, the Galician club is relying on Bajcetic to write a new chapter in its history, away from the spotlight of the capital.
