EA Sports announced this Wednesday, September 3, a significant expansion of the licensing portfolio for its upcoming release, FC 27. The video game giant has notably reintegrated the Liga MX, while renewing its agreements with Germany’s Bundesliga, the Saudi Pro League, and Australia’s A-League. In parallel, several contracts with clubs and stadiums have been signed. The Bundesliga, already a partner, has thus confirmed its presence in the game.
Liga MX makes its return in FC 27
Liga MX is making a notable return in FC 27, with all 18 clubs of the Mexican league now fully licensed. Great news for Mexican football fans, who will be able to find their favorite teams with all image and name rights. This integration marks a turning point for the game, following its absence in previous editions. On the Italian side, the addition of Lazio brings the number of official Serie A teams in FC 27 to 17. The game remains incomplete, however, with the absence of the two Milan clubs, AC Milan and Inter, as well as Atalanta.
Bundesliga, Saudi Pro League, and A-League maintain their partnerships
Germany’s Bundesliga has renewed its agreement with EA Sports, confirming its place in the game for another season. The German league, renowned for its intensity and competitiveness, will once again be faithfully represented.
Sky Sports, a media partner, will also cover weekend matches with its usual teams. The Saudi Pro League, currently expanding, has also renewed its partnership, as has Australia’s A-League. These agreements allow FC 27 to offer a diversity of leagues from around the world, enhancing its appeal to players.
New clubs and stadiums enter the game
In addition to the leagues, EA Sports has signed several agreements with clubs and stadiums, further expanding its licensing catalog. These partnerships will allow FC 27 players to discover new pitches and teams, adding an extra touch of realism to the game. This expansion of the licensing portfolio aligns with EA Sports’ strategy for FC 27, which aims to deliver an increasingly immersive and authentic football experience. Players will be able to navigate environments they know, with accurate details.
