The Portuguese coach, who remains highly attentive to the news surrounding his former club, is convinced he holds the tactical keys to successfully combine the two Madrid offensive stars. A high-end puzzle that has been stirring observers, yet one that the "Special One" claims to have already solved.
This is the equation occupying all minds at Valdebebas: how to make Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior coexist without disrupting the Real Madrid collective? Positioning on the pitch, space occupation, defensive withdrawal, distribution of offensive responsibilities... Pairing the two best attackers on the planet resembles a genuine tactical conundrum for Carlo Ancelotti and his staff.
Yet one man claims to already have the solution. And not just anyone: José Mourinho himself.
The "Special One's" recipe for a fiery duo
According to information revealed this Tuesday by Cadena SER, the Portuguese tactician is firmly convinced he holds the key to harmoniously combining the French international and his Brazilian counterpart. Still closely following the news of the Merengue club, which he managed between 2010 and 2013, Mourinho believes his historical tactical principles could solve this complex equation.
His recipe? An ultra-fast offensive transition, combined with ironclad discipline in defensive repositioning. A cocktail that, in his view, would allow the combined output of the two attackers to be maximized without ever disrupting the team structure.
An interest that fuels speculation
One question remains today, stirring the corridors of European football: will this tactical vision remain merely an armchair analysis, or will fate ultimately bring the Portuguese tactician and the two prodigies together on the Santiago Bernabéu bench?
While the current Fenerbahçe manager has not yet made any official bid, his pronounced interest in Madrid affairs and his stated certainty in being able to meet this tactical challenge are already fueling all speculation. One thing is certain: the idea of such a trio – Mourinho, Mbappé, and Vinícius – is already enough to send shivers down the spine of European football.
