Madeira's Nacional is set to finalize the arrival of a new striker in their ranks. The Cameroonian Njoya Kader, 22, currently under contract with FC Hegelmann in Lithuania, is expected to sign for the alvinegros in the coming hours. The agreement has already been reached between the parties, but the transfer between the two clubs is not yet finalized. The Madeirans are indeed refusing to pay the amount demanded by the Lithuanians, preferring to propose a share in any future resale. According to the Lithuanian portal 11x1-it, FC Hegelmann's sporting director, Vytautas Masaitis, confirmed that negotiations are ongoing and that the next few hours could bring progress, with the transfer window closing only on Friday. Rui Alves could play the card of Kader's arrival at the end of his contract and sign him for free next winter.

A promising offensive profile

In Lithuania, Njoya Kader shone last season with 19 matches played, nine goals scored, and one assist. Signed by FC Hegelmann, a club competing in the Lithuanian top flight and having participated in the UEFA Europa Conference League, the young Cameroonian striker could bring fresh blood to Nacional's attack. The alvinegros' management is banking on his potential to strengthen a team in full reconstruction. Meanwhile, the club has freed up a spot in its squad with the confirmed departure of Iranian striker Mehrdad Nourani, whose contract was terminated.

Bruno Abreu named interim manager

On the bench, Nacional has officially appointed Bruno Abreu as interim manager. Currently in charge of the club's under-19s, he succeeds João Gião, whose contract was terminated. He will be accompanied by a technical team consisting of Fernando Léon (assistant), Francisco Freitas (goalkeeping coach), and Pedro Vasconcelos (fitness coach). His permanent appointment remains uncertain, however, ahead of Saturday's trip to Alvalade to face Sporting. The club's management has also contacted Custódio Castro and Daniel Sousa, former managers of Alverca and Sporting Braga respectively, but both have declined the offer for now.

Another squad movement sees South Korean Song Min-kyu already registered on the Liga list. His departure from Nacional is confirmed following the termination of his contract, and he is expected to join one of the two clubs interested in his services. Stade Tunisien is tipped as favorites, but US Monastir remains in the running. The 24-year-old Tunisian player had been loaned last season to CA Bizertin in Tunisia.
