Suleyman Faye returns to face Morocco after injury

Senegal faced a medical alert during their quarter-final match against Mali in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations. Souleymane Commissaire Faye, who was substituted early due to injury, has now been declared fit to face Morocco this Wednesday. A welcome news for the national team, which had to do without their top scorer in the 2-1 victory over the Carthage Eagles. Observers highlight the importance of his presence for the rest of the competition.

Faye, 17 years old, had been injured in the 35th minute after a heavy collision with an opponent. His absence had then weakened Senegal's attack, but his teammates had managed to compensate. Against Morocco, his return could make all the difference. The Teranga Lions, already in the semi-finals, are aiming for a historic final after eliminating Mali on penalties. Senegal's journey has drawn admiration, but challenges remain against a strong Moroccan side. The match, scheduled for 5 PM at the Bouaké Sports Complex, promises to be intense. Both teams have already proven their worth in the quarter-finals, with tight games and twists. For Senegal, the priority is clear: avoid another injury and maintain strong performances. Faye, if he starts, will need to prove he is fully recovered and bring his offensive touch. This semi-final is shaping up to be a decisive test before a potential final. The Teranga Lions, finalists in 2019, dream of repeating the feat. Their journey, marked by narrow victories, shows a united and determined team. Morocco, for its part, is banking on its collective strength to reach the final. The battle promises to be tight, and every detail will count. Senegalese supporters, already jubilant after the victory over Mali, are eagerly awaiting kick-off. Faye, if he comes on, could become the man of the match. One thing is certain: African football will deliver a high-level spectacle tonight.
