European clubs gear up before the transfer deadline. Arsenal could attempt a move for Julián Álvarez, while Atlético Madrid are monitoring Nicolas Jackson.

The Madrid-based club saw its loan proposal for the 25-year-old Chelsea striker rejected. Despite this, Atlético Madrid continues to push for his signing, in competition with Aston Villa. According to sources cited by ESPN, Arsenal could make an offer for 24-year-old Julián Álvarez, who would reportedly prefer a move to Barcelona over a return to the Premier League. Jackson is also being pursued by Aston Villa, who are looking to sign him as a replacement for an outgoing striker. The transfer market is heating up ahead of the September 1 deadline. Clubs are stepping up their approaches, while some players, such as Junior Kroupi, remain under scrutiny despite their injuries.

Arsenal and Atlético in the race for two strikers

Arsenal and Atlético Madrid are at the center of rumors surrounding two offensive profiles. On one side, the London club could attempt to convince Julián Álvarez to leave Madrid for London. The young Argentine, who has already played in the Premier League for Manchester City, would reportedly be more inclined to join FC Barcelona, where he is already in contact with the Catalan club’s management. Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid is focusing on Nicolas Jackson to offset a potential departure of Álvarez. The Madrid club faced an initial rejection for a loan of the Chelsea player but intends to continue its efforts. Jackson is also being tracked by Aston Villa, who could see him as a successor to an outgoing striker. Both clubs will need to act quickly, as the transfer window is closing. Negotiations could intensify in the coming days, with financial offers already mentioned to lure the targeted players.

Kroupi, a coveted profile despite his injury

Junior Kroupi, striker for Bournemouth, is drawing interest from several English clubs despite an extended absence. The 20-year-old, who is recovering from a foot injury, is being scouted by Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal. According to *The i Paper*, all three clubs have already made contact with the Cherries' management. Bournemouth, which is banking on new reinforcements for the upcoming season, is currently refusing to part with its key players. Under manager Marco Rose, the club does not wish to lose its top performers, despite repeated approaches. Kroupi, despite his injury, remains an attractive prospect for teams in need of offensive depth. English clubs will have to factor in his unavailability until the end of the transfer window. Any potential signing could therefore come with special conditions, such as a loan deal or a long-term commitment. Other notable moves before the deadline The transfer window is also seeing other recruitment avenues. Manchester United is interested in Myles Lewis-Skelly, a midfielder from Arsenal. The Red Devils hope to persuade the Gunners to part with the 19-year-old, believing he will see less playing time with the return of Mikel Merino. An offer exceeding £50 million would be required to finalise a deal, though Chelsea has also expressed interest. Chelsea is also monitoring Honest Ahanor, a defender from Atalanta. The London club sees the 18-year-old Italian as a future prospect, but La Dea has already rejected several offers this summer. Ahanor, who made 22 starts in Serie A last season, has been called up to the Italy national team twice. Finally, Aston Villa could attempt to sign Rafael Leão, a winger for AC Milan. The 27-year-old Portuguese wants to leave the Milan club this summer, and manager Unai Emery is prepared to bolster his squad with several recruits following the heavy 4-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton. Leão, whose contract runs until 2028, has previously been linked with Turkish clubs.
